Dragon Ball Z
The dragon Ball Z TV show was one of the most popular animated TV shows in the late 1980′s and 1990′s. Dragon ball Z show was also well known as DBZ. It was launched from the year 1989 but in the US it premiered from September 1996. The season totally contained 8 seasons and the last one ended up in April 2003.
The story involves the protagonist Goku who is sent to planet Earth to completely destroy the planet. The series begins with Goku’s brother Raditz visiting Earth looking for Goku because for some reason Goku has not yet accomplished his mission that he was sent for. But Raditz doesn’t know that the reason why Goku has not destroyed planet Earth is because when he was baby he was dropped from a cliff and after the fall he forgot why he was sent to Earth.
Goku is totally blank about any knowledge of his brother coming in search of him who has vowed to return to destroy planet earth and sell it to the highest bidder. While Goku remains on earth he is presently staying in a dangerous place where he can only be reached through the snake way which is very dangerous and filled with difficulties. So the whole series is about whether Goku will return to save earth or whether he will join forces with his brother to destroy it.
The Z in the Dragon Ball Z is added because a set of new warriors who are known as the Z Warriors make an entry in this series. They fight along Goku and help defend planet Earth from its invaders. The fighting scenes are extremely intense and the graphics even today look extremely well done.
This series is only a continuation to the Dragon Ball series which was aired previously and has around 200 episodes. Apart from being an animated series the Dragon Ball show was also made into many movies and games.
The big problem is that this series being old favorite not generally showed so often on the channels. Though, it occasionally appears on the cartoon network in the US. Though if you want to watch it from the beginning you won’t be left with any options until some channel airs it from the beginning and you get that channel in your area.
